On the evening of February 22nd, the charity gala dinner was grandly held at the National Museum in Phnom Penh, co-hosted by Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia and Association of Cambodian Pharmacists in France. The event was chaired by H.E. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts. In attendance were Her Royal Highness Samdech Reach Botrei Preah Anoch Norodom Arunrasmy, Privy Counsellor of His Majesty the King of the Kingdom of Cambodia; leaders and members of the National Assembly; H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism; representatives from DPB Foundation, Association of Cambodian Pharmacists in France, Kantha Bopha Hospital in Siem Reap, Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap and the Japan Heart Children’s Medical Center; as well as many other distinguished guests. At this historic venue rich in Khmer culture, philanthropists from various sectors gathered to support charitable causes.
Speaking at the event, H.E. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, expressed that "this charity gala not only pays tribute to Khmer traditional culture but also serves as an ideal platform for society to demonstrate its compassion." She encouraged all present to contribute generously to raise funds for Cambodian children's hospitals, ensuring essential medical supplies reach those in need.
The gala featured a feast of Cambodian traditional performances, where dancers adorned in exquisite costumes and musicians performed with heartfelt dedication, showcasing the unique charm and profound significance of Khmer culture. Amidst this cultural ambiance, the generosity of attendees turned into tangible support for the development of pediatric healthcare in Cambodia.
As one of the key donors, DPB Foundation donated US$5,000. DPB Foundation is a charity organization founded by Oknha Mr. Deng Pibing, a Cambodian Chinese noble, committed to aiding underprivileged communities in Cambodia. Through self-funding and public donations, it strives to improve health and education conditions for those in need.
